November 2022 - $ATOM Stats

What a month November has been. We’ve had some very controversial governance propositions be overturned by slim margins, FTX meltdown still unwinding, and some extreme volatility in token prices across the board. As per the theme of these posts, we won’t dive too much into the specifics of things outside of ATOM’s performance. There are many outlets for information, but, if you’re interested, be sure to check out Oregon Blockchain Group.

Alright, Alright, here’s what we got:

What’s the price(s) looking like?

$ATOM Price (Via CoinGecko) November 2022

As I mentioned before, it’s been rough. I had originally forecasted some lows back in September and EoY to have more rigid support prices, however, that has simply collapsed. We’ve broke 2 primary supports (One at $3.5b, and another at $3b). Overall, we’re down ~25.66%.

Here’s some pointers:

  • High: $15.72 or $4,588,728,984.62 Marketcap
  • Low: $9.38 or $2,747,449,634.04 Marketcap
  • Average: $11.67 or $3,416,257,393.28 Marketcap
  • 30 Day Range: -25.66%

On the bright side, our current low hasn’t lasted long enough to bring down the average valuation of ATOM. Last month we sat around $3.7b, although, this month we sit at the $3.4b listed above. This suggests that while we’ve taken quite the tumble, it hasn’t been sustained as long as it feels. Keep your chins up cosmonauts, the underlying technology is unchanged, and the innovation continues.

What is $ATOM earning?

$ATOM Fee Value (Via Cosmoscan) November 2022

Following the new format we used in the last post, our tokens accrued from transaction fees isn’t as affected as most of the other metrics. Staking, sending tokens, and general fees by which ATOM gains revenue is relatively the same as last month. Only slight changes, however, still within the same margins.

Please note these are within a 24hr period

How did we look? Let's see:

  • High: 213.64 $ATOM’s
  • Low: 47.42 $ATOM’s
  • Average: 130.33 $ATOM’s
  • 30 Day Total: 3909.91 $ATOM’s

In USD:

  • High: ~$2,383.50 $ATOM’s in USD
  • Low: ~$500.31 $ATOM’s in USD
  • Average: ~$1,534.65 $ATOM’s in USD
  • 30 Day Total: ~$46,039.51 $ATOM’s in USD

Compared to last month's 4110.65 total $ATOM’s accrued, that’s just barely a 5% loss in fees collected. This, to me, shows those who are holding $ATOM are unphased by the whims of the current market, and continue to use $ATOM as they were. Our infrastructure is proving quite resilient in the wake of this turmoil and I’m quite proud to see this in the numbers. Well done.

Are we staking?

$ATOM Bonded Ratio (Via Cosmoscan) November 2022

The quantity of tokens staked, while it has fallen, is still remarkably high compared to other assets. A 2% hit is something very few tokens can handle without consensus potentially being compromised. We’re very fortunate to have competent projects, convicted members of our community, and incredibly intelligent developers working in the Cosmos Ecosystem.

With that said, how did we look:

  • High: 64.67% $ATOM’s in supply staked
  • Low: 61.86% $ATOM’s in supply staked
  • Average: 63.32% $ATOM’s in supply staked
  • 30 Day Yield: -2.10%

We’re still well above 50% of the tokens in supply staked, and we continue to prove our conviction by keeping $ATOM staked in your wallets.

This, truly, has been awful to watch unfold. In last month's post I mentioned keeping loved ones close during times of trouble and strife, and I would like to re-iterate this. Please, keep those who support you around, and let them in on some of the struggles you may encounter. Interest rates are rising faster than ever before, energy costs, politics, etc. A hug can be priceless. Give one.

Next week we have more data coming out as a continuation of the Ecosystem posts. Be sure to stay tuned for more :)
